TOUCHtrax   TOUCHtrax

TOUCHtrax™ is an Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) system that can be used for any asset where scheduled maintenance and inspection, inventory management and asset tracking are required. Ideal for local asset management, inventory control, facility maintenance, security inspection, health, fire & safety compliance and equipment field service record keeping. TOUCHtrax™ is designed to be compatible with most customer specific software packages.

Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) technologies are used worldwide in the identification and or direct collection of data into a computer system, without using a keyboard. ILI Technologies Corp. (ILI) provides turnkey solutions that utilize: Radio Frequency identification (RFID), Touch Memory and Bar Code systems. Each of the AIDC technologies has specific advantages, which make one technology better suited for some applications than others.

SANDtrax   RFID – Radio Frequency Identification

RFID is a wireless Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) technology that allows for readings to be taken without contact. RFID is quite effective in hostile environments where barcode labels would not survive. The technology has become a significant player in automated data collection systems worldwide. New generation transponders have a lower cost per unit offering read/write electronic storage capabilities. Reliability tests and current installations conducted by ILI has proven that the technology can be used in harsh conditions including both surface and down-hole applications.

An RFID transponder is a ruggedized data carrier that is used in many diverse applications:

  • field maintenance
  • asset tracking
  • inventory management
  • security

The transponder is very diverse and has been constructed to be highly durable, resisting a wide variety of environmental effects, including:

  • moisture
  • temperature
  • shock
  • vibration
  • abrasion
  • corrosion

The TOUCHtrax™ product line collects data from manual and/or automated entry points utilizing AIDC media. Data collection points can consist of RFID transponders touch memory devices, bar codes, and/or remote terminals. The data collected by the TOUCHtrax™ product is 100% accurate and time and date stamped. This data can be downloaded to a Windows based PC program which interfaces to the customers existing program including SAP, Oracle, J.D. Edwards and MS Access. This allows the exchange of detailed data between the TOUCHtrax™ hardware and the customers' database.

Features:

  • Time and date stamp
  • Track inventory
  • Identify and Authenticate
  • Unique part identifier
  • Provide digital maintenance records

Benefits:

  • 100% error free data entry
  • Instant access to information
  • Data integrity is assured with strict read / write protocols
  • Data can be read in all types of industrial environments including dirt, snow, oil and grease

RFID Chip

RFID chips yield the identification number to the reader when exposed to a specific electromagnetic field. This means that there is no physical contact required to read these chips. Recent innovations in this technology has made it possible to have these chips attached or even embedded into the metal surface. ILI has developed and extensively tested a unique method of embedding the RFID tag into metal for extremely harsh environments.

Programmable Handheld RFID Reader/Computer Terminal

A variety of handheld computers are available with an RFID reader option. Handheld readers are portable battery operated hand-held devices that read, display and store information contained in RFID tags. Data can be retrieved in the field from memory using the membrane key switches on the front panel via ILI's Windows based software. RFID readings are stored, complete with time and date stamp, in the reader's non-volatile memory.

SANDtrax   Fixed Asset

The ILI software application is designed to collect, report and analyze maintenance, inspection data and value-added information. Data is queried from the database to schedule maintenance and determine service requirements. Historical maintenance records are digitally recorded and retrieved for each asset, ERROR FREE.

Multiple output capability allows ASCII data to be imported, exported, and saved to disk. Sort tables facilitate the search engine functionality to access many user-defined databases. Reports include: historical maintenance and inspection summaries. Maintenance schedules for field and shop service requirements. User defined drop down menus provide the flexibility to address customer specific requirements pertinent to maintenance and historical trend analysis.
